Two former editors of Rupert Murdoch-owned newspapers who had close ties to British Prime Minister David Cameron, will be tried in September next year.
Rebekah Brooks, a friend of Cameron’s and Andy Coulson, his former communications chief, face charges over a phone hacking scandal that forced the closure of the tabloid newspaper News of the World.
In all 13 people, including Brooks’ husband, will be tried either with conspiring to intercept voicemail messages or hindering the subsequent police investigation.
