Women’s Fashion Show Milano Moda Donna gave a hint of what women will be wearing next year. The event showcases pret-a-porter collections – clothes that are actually designed to be worn.

The fashion houses had a real collection of contrasts with their inspirations coming from a mix of sources.

The dynamic paintings of Sonia Delaunay for instance – with their pure colours, chromatic nuances and stunning use of light and shadow inspired the Genny Spring/Summer 2013 collection.

Sicilian puppets were behind Dolce & Gabbana’s collection which was a celebration of Sicily’s traditions.

Giorgio Armani’s collection, on the other hand, was more classic, featuring muted monochrome and sea green shades.
