At least 26 workers have died in an explosion at a Mexican gas facility close to the US border.
A spokesperson for the plant’s operator, Pemex, said as many as 27 people had been injured in the blast and fire.
The explosion happened early on Tuesday evening near the city of Reynosa in the state of Tamaulipas.
Authorities evacuated residents within a five kilometre radius of the plant.
At least 700 people were working at the time of the blast.
Soldiers, firefighters and state workers helped Pemex safety crews bring the fire under control.
