Officials in the Czech Republic are describing it as the worst case of fatal alcohol poisoning in 30 years.
Five people have died and another thirteen are in hospital after drinking bootleg vodka and rum containing the toxic substance methanol.
Authorities are searching bars and restaurants for more of the deadly drinks.
A 36-year-old man suspected of supply the alcohol has been arrested.
