Life in the sleepy Nottinghamshire hamlet of Rampton, central England, has just got a lot more exciting.

Sundown Adventureland, a theme park for under tens, has just opened an adventure playground based on the popular smartphone game, Angry Birds.

The application has been downloaded more than 700 million times.

The world’s first-ever was in Finland, where the game was developed by software firm Rovio.

The company is now estimated to be worth nine billion dollars (7.2 billion euros).

Players of Angry Birds have to catapult deadly fowl at pigs hidden in secret fortresses.
