Chinese interact with 3D art A new documentary shines the spotlight on Chinese activist and artist Ai Weiwei – whose clashes with his country’s government are ongoing to say the least. Last year, Ai was fined nearly 2 million euros for tax evasion, his appeal against the decision was unsuccessful and the activist was detained without explanation for three months during an overall crackdown on dissent in China. Since being released he has been refused permission to travel and though under constant surveillance, he continues to openly criticise the Chinese government on Twitter.
