Syria regime 'shells civilians' again in Aleppo and Damascus

The Syrian opposition says government bombardments of Aleppo at dawn on Tuesday left at least nine people dead, including two women and two children.

The foreign-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says at least two districts were attacked.

Pictures uploaded to the internet are said to show government forces shelling civilians in the city on Monday. The content cannot be verified. Voices in the background talk of random shelling and ask whether there are snipers.

Other images said to have been filmed on Tuesday in Aleppo purport to show a field hospital, where a number of wounded children were treated.

In Damascus, the Syrian opposition says clashes have erupted in several districts in the south and east.

Most of Monday’s reported victims across the country were in and around the Syrian capital and activists report a rising number of atrocities.
