Up to 31 people have been killed in a plane crash in Sudan.

The victims include at least one Sudanese government minister but it is believed there were more officials among the passengers.

They were flying to an Islamic festival in the south of the country when the aircraft came down in mountains around Talodi, a town in the border state of South Kordofan.

The plane’s crew are among the dead.
