Britain’s Prince Philip has been taken to hospital in Scotland as a precautionary measure, according to Buckingham Palace.
The Duke of Edinburgh, 91, was driven by ambulance from the royal residence at Balmoral to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
It is the third time in eight months that he has been hospitalised. He missed last Christmas at home, and during the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations in early June he was admitted for several days in London with a bladder infection.
