'Bicycle bomb' injures several in western Afghanistan

More than a dozen people are reported to have been wounded in a bomb attack in western Afghanistan.

It happened in a market in the city of Herat. A police commander said the bomb was attached to a bicycle. It is thought to have been detonated by remote control.

The authorities say 18 people were taken to hospital. Tuesday was the bloodiest day so far this year for Afghan civilians with almost 50 people killed.
