Man executed despite doubtful mental state

The US state of Texas has executed a man by lethal injection despite protests that his IQ was too low to qualify for the death penalty.

Marvin Wilson was convicted of murdering a 21-year old man in 1992 who he had accused of telling police about drugs hidden at his home.

State lawyers argued that his low IQ score was based on one single faulty test.
