Surfer injured in latest shark attack

There’s been another shark attack off the coast of Reunion, the French island in the Indian Ocean.

A 40 year old surfer from the island lost a hand and a foot in the mauling.

Authorities stepped up beach monitoring following several other fatal shark attacks off the island over the past 14 months.

Last month, a 21-year-old surfer died after a shark bit through his leg.
