Afghanistan’s parliament has passed votes of no confidence in the country’s Defence and Interior Ministers, demanding that they be dismissed.

Defence Minister Abdul Rahim Wardak and Interior Minister Bismillah Mohammadi stand accused of failing to guarantee security on the border amid shelling which Kabul has blamed on the army of neighbouring Pakistan.
