Malaysian Nur Suryani Mohamed Taibi stands out from all the other shooters at the London Olympics because she’s eight month’s pregnant.

The 29-year-old is squeezing in a bid for gold in the 10 metre shooting event before she gives birth in early September.

“I dont have any stress at this moment. I told my doctor about the travelling and my experience (as a shooter) and he suggested that I sleep all the way (on the flight over to London),” she said.

The tall markswoman won bronze at the 2010 Asian Games and also claimed gold at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi.

Suryani will stay in London for just one week before returning to Kuala Lumpur for the arrival of her baby daughter Dayana Widyan.

She’s due to give birth on September 2.
