Europe Weekly: EU slaps Syria with more sanctions

In this week’s Europe Weekly, the EU slaps new sanctions on Assad’s Syria as the noose tightens on his family’s regime.

Foreign minister from the 27 member states also agreed to offer more help to those fleeing the conflict.

Troika officials are in Athens to cast their eyes over Greece’s books amid the ongoing eurozone crisis and there is the continued fallout from the Libor banking scandal.
