Greenland’s “unprecedented” ice melt

NASA has released images showing what it describes as an “unprecedented” melt of Greenland’s ice sheet during a four-day period this month. The space agency says the thaw reached 97 per cent of the ice sheet during the period from July 8.

At the same time a massive iceberg broke off from northern Greenland.
