Hi-tech: Monitoring Alzheimer’s

It might seem like an everyday occurence for most of us, but the simple task of combing his hair represents a relative moment of intimacy for John Cometti who suffers with a form of Alzhiemer’s disease.

For the last eight month’s the eighty eight year-old has been put under the constant scrutiny of CCTV cameras in his home.

The system is just one of a number of options aimed at protecting old and vulnerable people in the community.
