Japanese to investigate radiation claims

Japan’s government says it will investigate reports that workers at the stricken Fukushima nuclear plant were urged to disguise their exposure to radiation.

A subcontractor says one of its executives told workers to put lead shields on radiation detection devices. Otherwise, they would have rapidly exceeded the legal limit for exposure.

The Fukushima plant was devastated in an earthquake in March 2011.
