Two Libyan journalists, kidnapped while covering the country’s recent historic elections, have been reunited with their families.

Abdelqadir Fassouk and Yusuf Badi disappeared on 7 July near Bani Walid, a former stronghold of ousted leader Muammar Gaddafi.

The pair, who work for the Tobacts TV station, were flown to Misrata after being released on Sunday.

According to media reports, those holding the journalists had demanded the release of detainees in Misrata.
