Solar storm hurtles towards Earth

A huge solar flare has erupted on the surface of the sun and it appears that a solar storm is now heading for Earth.

The flare sent a wave of plasma toward Earth at a speed of about 1,400 km per second.

It’s expected to reach the planet by 7:00 am on Saturday.
