A suicide bomber has blown himself up outside a police academy in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, killing at least ten people.
The bomber detonated his explosives amongst a crowd of police cadets as they left classes for the day.
No group has admitted to carrying out the bombing, but security officials believe al-Qaeda’s Yemen branch was involved.
It comes after the army recaptured a number of militant-held towns in the country’s south last month.
The government has launched a crackdown on Islamist insurgents in Yemen, with the support of drone missile strikes carried out by the United States.
In May, more than 90 soldiers died when a suicide bomber dressed in army uniform blew himself up during a parade in Sanaa.
