American Oscar-winning actor Ernest Borgnine who was famous for his tough-guy roles has died at the age of 95. His trade mark gruff voice and stocky build led him often to be cast as a villain. However it was as the romantic New York butcher Marty that he won his Oscar in 1955. He went on to make more than 60 films.
