Second shooting at a northern France nightclub

French police have arrested three people in connection with a shooting at a nightclub near the northern city of Lille.

A spokesman says the gunman fired several rounds with a hunting rifle after being asked to leave the club in the town of Cambrai.

Officials say the accused in this case apparently entered the club with his wife, but was denied entry because he had “caused problems”.

The shooting happened exactly a week after two people were shot dead at a nightclub in Lille itself.

A suspect and an accomplice in that case were arrested in Spain on Friday.
