Costa Concordia black box data 'missing'

An Italian newspaper claims crucial black box data from the capsized Costa Concordia is missing.

More than 30 people died when the ship ran aground off Italy’s western coast in January.

The paper alleges that the black box was not working at the time of the disaster and that watertight safety doors were left open.

The company has denied the claims but has admitted that there were problems wth black box recorder a few days before the tragedy.
