Portugal 1 – 0 Czech Republic: How it happened

Cristiano Ronaldo was in inspired form to help seal Portgual’s spot in the last four.

Joao Moutinho was a constant threat from midfield and his delightful ball in on 79 minutes was one of many on the night to unsettle the Czech defence.

But this time though Ronaldo took advantage of some tired marking by Theodor Gebre Selassie, who throughout the night claimed some notable victories in his one-on-one battles with the most expensive player in the world, to nip in front of the Werder Bremen-bound defender and notch up his third goal of the tournament.
