Former Romanian Prime Minister Adrian Nastase has shot himself after a court upheld a two-year prison sentence for corruption.
Nastase is Romania’s first leader to be given a jail term since the 1989 fall of communism. He was discovered with neck wounds by police who had gone to his home to arrest him.
