Saudi Arabia’s crown prince Nayef bin Abdel-Aziz Al Saud has died.
He was in his late seventies and had recently been abroad for unspecified medical treatment. He was deputy premier and minister of interior.
A new heir to the throne will now have to be chosen from King Abdullah’s brothers and half-brothers.
