At least 42 dead in Iraqi bomb attacks

A series of car bomb attacks have killed at least 42 people in Iraq.

The explosions happened on Wednesday morning in the capital, Baghdad, and the southern city of Hillah.

Dozens more have been injured.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombings.

However, such attacks remain common in Iraq and are usually carried out by Islamist insurgents.
