Spain’s Rafael Nadal won his record seventh French Open title, returning to Roland Garros on Monday to edge out Novak Djokovic in four sets after the final was halted the night before because of rain.
The 26 year old was made to battle hard throughout the contest and lost the third set before finding his range in the fourth.
Nadal eventually won 6-4, 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 denying the World Number One the chance to hold all four Grand Slam titles simultaneously.
