Spanish miners in Asturias have again clashed with police after 11 days of strike action in protest against the government slashing coal subsidies. Miners blocked several roads and prevented two trains from completing their journeys. Many remain encamped in the central square of the regional capital, Oviedo, and another group remains underground, occupying a mineshaft.
