Costa Concordia salvage operation underway

A major operation to refloat and remove the Costa Concordia is underway in Italy.

The cruise liner hit rocks off the island of Giglio in January, with the loss of at least 30 lives.

The year-long salvage operation is expected to cost 236 million euros.
