A privately-operated cargo ship has docked with the International Space Station (ISS), becoming the first commercial craft to reach the orbital outpost.
The unmanned Dragon capsule is filled with food, water, clothing and other supplies.
The Dragon has been built by SpaceX and is one of two private freighters NASA will use to transport cargo after the retirement of its space shuttles last year.
As well as cargo services, America is also planning to buy in commercial flights for its astronauts – breaking Russia’s monopoly on transporting crews to the ISS.
