After a 10-year hiatus, Bernardo Bertolucci is back with his new film “Me and You”. The director said that being awarded an Honorary Palme d’Or at Cannes last year gave him the incentive to get back behind the camera: “The Palme d’Or last year was a great push, I can’t deny that. And then there was a retrospective of my movie at the MoMA in New York and the BFI in London. All these things together created a bit of excitement again so I decided to do this film.”

“Me and You” is about a 14-year-old who skives off a ski trip in order to be alone. But then his sister turns up…

The film stars Tea Falco and Jacopo Olmo Antinori in the leading roles and explores the claustrophic space as a metaphor for the subconcious.

Bertolucci is probably best known for Last Tango in Paris.
