Euro 2012: Loew fears negative preparations

With less than a month to go before the European championships get underway in Poland and Ukraine, Germany coach Joachim Loew believes that Bayern Munich’s loss in the Champion’s League final could have a negative effect on his squad ahead of the tournament.

The 52 year old unveiled his provisional 27-man squad earlier this month which included eight Bayern players.

The three-time European champions, who have not won a title since Oliver Bierhoff’s “golden goal” in the 1996 European Championship final, have started preparations in Sardinia this week.

They will take on Portugal, Denmark and the Netherlands in Group B of the tournament which gets underway in Warsaw on June 8.
