Obama camp targets Romney in video attack

The US presidential campaign has got off to an unofficial start with fundraising and pointed attacks made by both Democrats and Republicans.
Singer Ricky Martin has been the first of several openly gay artists to back Barack Obama after the president last week announced his support for same-sex marriages.
Obama said America had never gone wrong when rights were expanded to everyone:
“At root, so much of this has to do with a belief that not only are we all in this together, but all of us are equal in terms of dignity and in terms of respect. And, and everybody deserves a shot,” said Obama.
Although Mitt Romney is still only the presumed Republican presidential nominee, the Obama camp is already on the offensive. Yesterday it released a video undermining Romney’s economic credentials, calling him a ‘jobs killer’.
Romney counterattacked with his own video full of glowing recommendations. He is expected to be officially adopted by the Republicans in August as the man to challenge Obama for the presidency in November.
