Two huge blasts have rocked the Syrian capital, Damascus. State television reported what it called “two terrorist explosions” in which it said dozens have been killed or wounded.
Television footage showed mangled, burnt and smouldering vehicles some containing bodies which had been burnt in the blasts.
Residents in the south west of the city said the explosions happened just before 8 o’clock in a district which houses a military intelligence complex.
Nearby schools it was reported had sent pupils home for the day.
