Flemish babies are getting fatter, according to one medical study of newborns from the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium.
The research found that the number of babies born last year weighing over four kilos was up 18 per cent from two decades ago.
The study by the University of Hasselt found that 4,899 babies weighing over four kilos were born in 1991.
Last year, that number was 6,034.
