Japanese tourists stranded on Barcelona monument

Two Japanese tourists have been rescued by crane after getting stuck at the top of the Columbus statue in Barcelona.

The visitors were stranded on the Spanish monument for over five hours due to a broken lift.

Crowds gathered around the statue and cheered as firefighters carried out the operation.
