Dark Shadows not merely make-up

Johnny Depp is back on screens wearing yet another outrageous make-up design, this time as a time-shift vampire turning up lost in 1972. The director is Tim Burton, and the co-star is Michelle Pfeiffer – which tells you pretty much everything you need to know: if you like these Burton/Depp fantasy confections, here comes another one. If they aren’t exactly your idea of a hot night at the flicks, you won’t like this any better than any of the others. Oh yes, and Helena BC turns up as a batty shrink. Also watch out for Jonny Lee Miller.
