Nigerian police say that radical Islamist sect Boko Haram have struck again, killing eight people in a spate of attacks.
The shootings all took place in and around the northeastern city of Mainduguri in the last 48-hours.
The group has launched regular bomb and gun attacks over the last two years in its bid to turn Nigeria into an Islamic state.
