Avalanche in Kashmir buries army camp

Over 100 Pakistani soldiers have been buried by an avalanche.

It happened in the disputed Kashmir close to the Siachen glacier in the eastern Karakoram mountains.

A military spokesman said the avalance covered an army camp around 6am Saturday morning. A rescue operation is underway.

Thousands of troops patrol the remote mountain ranges of Kashmir which is claimed by both India and Pakistan.
