Somalia’s prime minister has survived a suicide attack that killed at least 10 people at the newly-reopened national theatre in Mogadishu.
While Abdiweli Mohamed Ali was unhurt, the heads of Somalia’s Olympic Committee and football federation died.
Al Shabaab rebels are claiming responsibility for the blast, which reports suggest was carried out by a woman. The Islamists said they had targeted “infidel” ministers and legislators.
