Twelve immigrant workers have died in a fire overnight at a covered market in southern Moscow, say the Russian authorities.
The fire swept through a warehouse next to the market in which the workers were housed. It’s thought they came from one of the former Soviet republics.
A city spokesman said they had no way out to the street and were trapped by the flames.
