Peace protesters try to force their way into NATO

Police in Belgium arrested nearly 500 peace activists on Sunday when they tried to break into NATO’s headquarters in Brussels. The action was organised in protest against the military alliance’s intervention in Afghanistan and Libya. The demonstrators, who were mostly in their twenties, came from several countries across Europe.
