New satellite images emerged on Friday that appeared to show preparations beginning for North Korea’s long-range rocket launch.
The image from a privately operated satellite was taken Wednesday at the site where North Korea says it plans to launch the rocket next month.
North Korea says it wants to fire an observation satellite into orbit.
The U.S. says it is a cover to test long-range missile technology.
The reclusive state is now led by Kim Jong Un, who took power after his father Kim Jong Il died in December.
