Internet giant Yahoo is suing Facebook over ten patents, including one that alleges the social networking site copied its methods for advertising on the web.
In the lawsuit, Yahoo claims Facebook had ‘one of the worst performing sites for advertising’ before adopting Yahoo’s methods and systems. Yahoo says Facebook agreed to licensing fees.
A spokesman for Facebook said the company is ‘disappointed’ that Yahoo, which has ‘benefited from its association with Facebook’ has resorted to court action.
