Baba Amro 'clear of terrorists' - Syrian government


As the pounding of Homs continues, the Syrian government says the Baba Amro district of Homs is now “rid of terrorists”.

Activists have reported mass executions after loyalist troops entered the former rebel stronghold.

Mortar rounds and machine guns have been unleashed by President Assad’s army on the adjacent residential neighbourhood of Jobar, according to the Syrian Network for Human Rights. There are no reports of any casualties

Rebels in the town of Idlib have reportedly engaged with Syrian security forces and launched an attack on a tank.

The country’s state news agency reported a suicide car bomber in Deera had killed two. Residents allege seven died and denied the attack was the work of a bomber.

In Douma, an amateur video and so unverified, showed panic breaking out as gunfire peppered a residential street from a military vehicle driving through the area.
