Frankfurt airport strike grounds 200 flights

The operators of Frankfurt Airport cancelled 200 flights on Monday amid an ongoing labour dispute.

Ground staff have been striking since February 16th over pay and conditions.

Unions are demanding a double-digit pay increase for their members.

Domestic and European flights – especially those operated by German carrier Lufthansa – are the worst hit by the cancellations.
Intercontinental flights will be unaffected.

Airport authorities are advising passengers to contact their airlines or travel agencies for the latest information.

The industrial action is set to continue until Thursday.
