Pontus Wernbloom scored in stoppage time on his CSKA Moscow debut to help the Russians salvage a one all draw at home against Real Madrid in their Champions League last 16 first leg.
Cristiano Ronaldo opened up the scoring on 28 minutes and it looked like the Spaniards would hold on for the win.
But Sweden international Wernbloom had other ideas and his strike three minutes into stoppage time gave ‘The Army Men’ hope for the return leg.
Elsewhere on Tuesday night Ezequiel Lavezzi scored a brace to help Napoli outclass Chelsea 3-1 in an entertaining last 16 opener in Naples.
Chelsea drew first blood thanks to Juan Mata on 27 minutes.
But the Italians were not to be embarrassed in front of their home support.
Two from Lavezzi and one from Edinson Cavani helped seal a deserved victory for Napoli and a healthy lead for the return leg in three weeks.
