An EU-China summit in Beijing and Greece’s stalled economic bail-out were the big issues this week, with China signalling that it was ready to take an more active role to help tackle the EU’s debt crisis. Even so, the details on how Beijing would do this were hazy.

Back in Europe, finance ministers continued to demand more guarantees before approving the next vital bailout for Greece. For the moment, Athens is still waiting to see if it has done enough to satisfy its lenders.

We also speak to the President of the European Investment Bank, Werner Hoyer, to see how Europe can boost jobs and growth in this era of austerity.
